Souvenirs from Utopia*
These landscape artworks examine the human connection to places real, imagined, or remembered by viewing them through the lens of late 20th century tourism. Each landscape is named for a specific emotional connection to or idealized notion of place. 18” x 24” gouache paintings are paired with a set of smaller works and items that act as snap shots and souvenirs collected by one who has traveled through the land.
